FRED BAKER (BE)
Born and bred in the north of Belgium, Producer/DJ Frederic De Backer has been developing his original, melodic and soulful music since he was just a teenager. Embracing a musical, less is more ethos to all of his studio work, Frederic's motivation in the studio or behind the deck has been to always add a new wrinkle to dance music's vibrant fabric. Years after years and record after record, Frederic has quickly became a major producer and DJ in Belgium, France and throughout the world.
It all started for Frederic De Backer in a big way when he produced in 1996, the Ibiza classic balearic trance anthem, Y-TRAXX 'Mystery Land'. The track was play listed heavily by Paul Oakenfold among many others during the summer of 1996 in Clubs such as Pacha, Space & Cream. The result, it was licensed on Pete Tong's own FFRR Records and has featured on more than 15 major compilations the same year including Cream, Clubbers Guide to Ibiza, Global Underground and last but not least was the anthem of the
'Kevin and Perry Go Large' motion picture. In 2002, Virgin re released 'Mystery Land' with a vocal mix.
Since then Frederic has released hundreds of tracks under over 70 alias and group names including Groovezone, The Effect, Active Sight (with M.I.K.E) Global Trance Mission, Out of the Past, Water Planet & Mr Sam (with Samuel Parquet) on labels such as Tiesto's Black Hole Recordings (In Trance We Trust, Magik Muzik), Armin van Buuren's Armada Recordings (A State Of Trance, Captivating Sounds), Paul van Dyk's Vandit Records, Positiva, ID&T, Virgin Records UK, Monster Tunes and many more including his own Baker Street label.
Fred Baker has remixed many of dance music biggest names including Tiesto, Blank & Jones, Age of Love & Alex Morph; and his tracks receive strong play list support from every major DJ from Paul Oakenfold, Tiesto, & Ferry Corsten to Paul van Dyk, Armin van Buuren, Pete Tong, Seb Fontaine and many more. In 2006 Frederic's anthem 'Forever Friends' was released as the official 2006 theme for the worlds leading dance event 'Sensation White'.
As a DJ, Fred has played his explosive and energetic signature Uplifting and Tech Trance sound all over Europe, UK, USA, Canada, Brazil, Australia and Asia at parties such as Sensation White, The Gallery @ Turnmills, Dance Valley, Passion, Gatecrasher, Godskitchen, Eden - Ibiza and Slinky to name just a few.
Whether he is producing an original track or remixing someone else's production, Frederic De Backer has an instinctive feel for what is fun, and what the dance floor will respond to. It's that love for the music and for trance music in particular that makes his productions work and keeps the faithful returning to the floor.
Possessing a firm knowledge of the past and a desire to make an impact on the future, it's an exciting time for Fred Baker
It's all about the future for this man and his music, and it's just the beginning.

DANJO & STYLES (NL)
Every trance-addict must have had at least three moments in his life, where he got in touch with the magical sounds of Danjo. The Dutch Danjo Raijer, born in 1979, created mass hysteria on every dance floor together with his companion Rob Styles, with their majestic anthems 'Everlast', 'Duende' and more recent 'What Lies Ahead'. The last track has a quite prophetical title, as Danjo & Styles decided to stop their successful collaboration. But that does not mean that the ambitions of Danjo stopped. Au contraire as the French would say: Danjo is ready to rock the world on his own!
His productions were initially noticed by Armin van Buuren, who signed Danjo in 2003 to the major Armada-imprint, which also has world famous artists like Markus Schulz, Signum and M.I.K.E. contracted to their critically acclaimed label. The madness continued, when Danjo & Styles launched their alter-ego Primer. Their second release on this project 'Everlast', was released just four years ago, but was an instant classic that still gets a lot of respect from artists all over the world and the crowd, that considers this track a huge bomb.
Also, the dynamic dj/ producers got a lot of enquiries for remix projects. This resulted in a wide range of well-known productions like Tiesto's 'Adagio For Strings' remix, Jones & Stephenson's all-time classic 'The First Rebirth' and Chakra's massive 'Love Shines Through'. The two friends started travelling all over the world, to show their unique mixing skills, blended with their own energetic performance. It resulted in a wide variety of bookings, and a lot of stamps in their passports: from Malaysia to Spain and the United Kingdom to Switzerland, the Dutchmen have been like everywhere and their tracks have been selected for more than 80 different compilation-albums!
But nowadays Danjo wants to conquer the world again. This ambition is under scribed with upcoming releases on much respected labels like Armada Music and Be Yourself Music. His first solo-release is already finished and will be released later in the year. Besides his work as a solo artist, Danjo has spent some time with the very well known producer Hydroid form Israel. But also, the aged twenty-eight producer is continuing to play his favourite tracks on parties all over the world. His view on music can be heard during his monthly radio show 'Playground', which is broadcasted on 10 radio stations worldwide.
It should be quite clear that there is another Dutch star ready to rock the stages. Supported by all major artists in the scene, Danjo is certainly one to watch for in 2008. And what lies ahead, is for him to show the world..
