SEAN TYAS (SWITZERLAND/USA)

'Sean Tyas has to be the hottest trance producer around at the moment' - Armin van Buuren
'New Star Of 2007' full page feature - Mixmag February 07
'Who'll Blow Up In 2007' feature - DJ Magazine January 07

As we enter 2007, the name Sean Tyas is a buzz word in trance circles. And with good reason too. He's one of the most talked about DJ / producers of the moment, not just from trance fans on message boards and budding DJs in record stores, but also in the highest echelons of the trance elite, with Armin van Buuren, Tiesto, Paul van Dyk, Ferry Corsten, Judge Jules, Eddie Halliwell, Sander van Doorn and Above & Beyond all giving his productions massive playlist support.

A New York native now residing in Switzerland, Sean Tyas' production skills bring to the dancefloor a mix of melodic harmony and driving groove that have captured the imagination of the trance community. Support for the Tyas sound is gathering at a frightening pace with his name appearing like a rash over the playlists of nearly every major trance DJ on the planet.

2006 was a whirlwind year for Sean Tyas. In the space of a few months he was signed up by the Discover label, an imprint widely recognised as having its finger firmly on the pulse of all things good in cutting edge trance, he won the much hyped Spinnin' Records remix competition for his rework of Sander van Doorn 'Punk'd', and his first solo release for Discover titled 'Lift' was one of the trance anthems of 2006, awarded Single Of The Week on Armin van Buuren's A State Of Trance.

Needless to say that demand for Sean Tyas DJ sets has soared on the back of his production success, with European dates taking him to Germany, Italy, Sweden, Norway, Finland, Turkey, Poland and Switzerland, plus prestigious UK events Gatecrasher, The Gallery at Turnmills, Goodgreef, Passion and Inside Out, plus tours to Indonesia, Australia, South Africa and Japan and regular dates in the USA and Canada including super-clubs like Spundae, 1015. As the big tunes roll out, the big shows roll in' with Sean Tyas delivering each and every time.

And speaking of big tunes, Sean Tyas continues to drop massive bombs on the trance scene from every direction. There's the original productions on Discover like 'Lift' and the forthcoming 'Drop', with Armada snapping up 'One More Night Out' for a Summer 2007 release. As a remixer, Sean Tyas is a name in huge demand, with forthcoming releases on leading labels Vandit, Anjunabeats, Discover and Armada, including remixes for Above & Beyond and Vincent De Moor. Add to that the exclusive Sean Tyas reworks and bootlegs that he uses in his sets such as 'The Diary Of Jane' and it's clear that this is a producer on fire and a DJ equipped with enough trance weapons to devastate any dancefloor.

After a prolific 2006 Sean Tyas is already knocking on the door of the A list trance elite, having been voted the Highest New Entry in the TranceAddict poll and a New Entry in the Top 200 of the prestigious DJ Magazine, with both Mixmag and DJ Magazine featuring Sean Tyas as 'One To Watch in 2007'. All we can say is "Watch This Space!"
